ASSUMPTION OF RISKS, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS:
I am aware that soccer involves many risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to collision with other players and officials, collisions with goal posts and playing surfaces, resulting from imperfections within playing surfaces and willful violence inflicted by players and/or spectators, I acknowledge that participation in this event will expose me to risk of injury or loss to person and/or property and to potential illness. I freely and voluntarily agree to assume all physical, health and legal risks that may arise from my participation in this event. I further state that I am in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in this event.

WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFI CATION:
In consideration of the Kamloops Invitational Soccer Tournament Society allowing me to participate in this event, I, for my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, release the Organizing Committee, the Kamloops Soccer League, the Kamloops Women’s Soccer League, Kamloops Soccer Referees Association, City of Kamloops and Recreation District, the tournament directors, organizers, sponsors, officials, and all other organizations, corporations or persons connected with the event or related activities, and their respective officers, directors, representatives, servants, agents, employees, and volunteers (herein referred to as the “Event Organization”) and do hereby waive as against the Event Organization all recourse, claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action arising out of or in consequence of my death or any loss, injury, illness, or damage to my person or property which I may suffer arising out of or in connection with my participation in this event or any related activity, whether prior to, during or subsequent to the event, however caused, and even if such death, loss, injury or damage may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the Event Organization, other athletes, officials, participants, spectators, or any other persons that I may encounter as a result of my participation in this event or related activities.

I further undertake and agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Event Organization from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, illness, claims, demands, costs and expenses arising out of or in consequence of, the attendance or participation by me in this event or any of the related activities.

We, the undersigned, have read the “Kamloops Invitational Soccer Tournament Assumption of Risks, Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement”, understand it’s contents, and agree to abide by its implications, terms, and obligations.
